Michael S. Darling Sr. 58

Gorham- Michael S. Darling Sr. 58 passed away peacefully after losing his battle with a long term illness on Sunday April 30th 2017 with his family by his side.

Michael was the second born in a family of five children. He attended South Portland schools and later proudly served in the National Guard. Most of his working career in Sheet Metal was spent working for Avery Services out of Westbrook as their Vice President. At the time of his passing he was employed by Atlantic Comfort Systems and worked as a Salesman.

Michael enjoyed boating and was an avid Patriots fan. He loves watching all the games and went to as many as he could with his nephew Keith or his brothers Donald and Steven. He always kept the companionship of a dog. They were his best friend. However what Michael loved most were his children Brandi, Michael Jr., John, and Jake. Also spending as much time as he could with his granddaughter Savannah. He truly loved and was very proud of them all.

Michael is survived by his siblings Donald Darling and wife Ruth, Diane Stout and husband Jerry, Sharon Crisholm and husband Kevin, and Steven Darling. His children Brandi Darling, Michael Darling Jr., John Darling, and Jake Darling. Lastly his granddaughter Savannah Darling. He is predeceased by his parents Steven and Patricia Darling of South Portland.

There will be a graveside service at the Gray Village Cemetery in Gray on Friday May 12th at 11am. Following these services there will be a luncheon and celebration of life at 28 Shaw Rd. In New Gloucester. In honor of Michael we are asking for those who attend to wear their Patriots attire. Michael will be wearing his as well.
