Steven James Zimmerman

Steven James Zimmerman passed away suddenly at his home in Gray, Maine on March 23, 2024 at the age of 61. Steve was born in Brooklyn, NY & lived in New Jersey during most of his youth and early adult life. He moved to Gray in 1999 with his wife, Dawn, and their four children, where he resided until he was called home to be with his Lord.  He was employed by the MSAD 15 school district and worked as a custodian for Memorial School. Steve had many passions, including music, woodworking, quilting and baking. His sense of humor, kindness, and lightheartedness was appreciated by all who knew and loved him. Steve's most treasured moments were those spent with his grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dawn Zimmerman; his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Alex Tremblay, their children Quentin, Lavinia, & Malachi; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Kai Zimmerman and granddaughter Penelope;  grandson Declan and former daughter-in-law Mary; sons Russell Zimmerman and Jared Zimmerman; his siblings Debra, William, Nancy and husband Bill, Erik and wife Norma, & Ellen and husband Dave; plus many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents William and Louise Zimmerman, nephew Kristofer Kanach, niece Courtlyn Donato, and granddaughter, Ava Tremblay. Funeral service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home in Gray Maine on Friday, April 5th from 5-7pm.
