Susan Doughty Obituary

Susan Doughty 59 of Gray Maine passed away peacefully at the VA hospice house at togus with her son, her sister, her mother, her daughter in law, and life long friend by her side. Susan fought a hard battle with cancer for almost a year before finally succombing to it. She worked in the auto industry in business development for many years before recently working at the market at pineland, one of her favorite spots to have coffee with her dear friend Patti. But Susan's true passion was photography. Whether she was out in hurricane like conditions at fort Williams picturing the waves crashing, or taking great action shots of her son Tyler playing sports. She had a real knack for it. She will be especially remembered for how much she loved doing things with Tyler and his friends. If you were a friend to Tyler you were truly considered another son to her. And of course, She loved Tyler's dog Jax so much she would tell everyone it was her dog. She had such an everlasting effect on so many lives with a smile and laugh that could light up a room. Susan is survived by her son Ralph L Doughty 3 "Tyler" and his wife Danielle of Gray Her sister Teresa Engel of Ben Lomond, CA, her niece Kaitlynn Engel of Ben Lomond, CA, Her brother Steven Dansereau of Georgia. Her brother Michael Dansereau of New Hampshire, Her mother and her husband Madge and Edward Morse of Keene, NH. She is predeceased by her husband of 17 years Ralph L Doughty Jr "Rick" There will be a celebration of life sometime in late August, if you would like to go you can contact Tyler Doughty on Facebook as he is still ironing out the details.
