Adam Tarsetti Obituary

Adam Daniel Tarsetti, passed away after an 8-month battle with lung cancer on Wednesday morning October 13, 2021. Adam had been staying at his father’s farm in Gray and was under hospice care. Gene, Nancy, and Adam’s stepmother Terry cared for Adam with great love and compassion throughout his journey.

Adam was born in Brooklyn New York on April 16th, 1965, to Gene Tarsetti and Nancy Thirtyacre Tarsetti. Adam was their second son, 1 of 4 children. The family moved from New York when Adam as four years old to Colorado and then to Maine. Adam Grow up in Waterboro and attended Massabesic High school. Adam was a happy child always smiling. If he found a mud puddle, he had to run through it. When he got a bicycle, he had to drive the bicycle through the mud puddle.  After bicycles there were three wheelers and then dirt bikes. All this turned into a love for four wheelers and outdoor adventures.

Adam enjoyed the social aspect of school and had great friends that he stayed in contact with his whole life. He excelled in sports and was an excellent wrestler. He did struggle with class work. But with persistence and determination Adam finally received his high school equivalence just this last spring after years of night school and adult Ed. He was extremely proud of that accomplishment.

When Adam was 20, he started driving 18-wheeler. He drove cross country with his father Gene for three years, seeing every state in the continental US. He then became a heavy equipment operator, a job he enjoyed doing for the next 30 years. His last job was working for the A.H.Grover family as a pit supervisor. He loved his line of work, his employer and put great pride into his work and the job he did.

Adam belonged to the Eagles and the American Legion. He would often go there in the evenings to throw darts. He loved throwing darts and he was good at it. Adam had many good friends in the Gray area, he loved going on four wheeling trips, Saco River trips, or just generally fun adventures with his buddies. If you ever needed a hand doing something, just give Adam a call and he was there. Adam was always up on the New England sports scene. He enjoyed going to Patriots games with his friend Kenny or watching the Red Sox or Celtics play.

Adam is survived by his father Gene Tarsetti and stepmother Terry Prince Tarsetti of Gray Maine, his mother Nancy Chandler of Dunedin Florida. His brother Michael Tarsetti of Saco and his sons Daniel and Matthew Tarsetti.
