Andrea Lynn Yans

Andrea Lynn Yans passed away in her sleep on December 11, 2020. Born on December 21, 1977, she was just 42 years old. Andrea was born in Portland, Maine and grew up in Gray. She lived in Massachusetts for several years before returning home to Maine and spending her remaining years in Lewiston.

Andrea suffered from Moyamoya Disease, which is a chronic and progressive condition of the arteries in the brain that ultimately took her life.

Andrea was a free spirit who truly loved life. She saw the best in everyone and everything, always looking on the bright side. The love of her life said it best — “There wasn’t an ugly bone in her body.”

Her family, friends, and fur babies meant the world to her. Andrea loved with everything she had, wearing her heart on her sleeve. If you were important to her, you knew it.

Christmas was her favorite holiday of the year and giving came naturally to her. Her happiness and joy were contagious; even the grumpiest of souls were sure to smile with her in their presence.

She leaves behind her loving, long-term boyfriend Corey Cole; daughter Casey Yans and fiancé Justin; daughter Molly Yans; parents Debra and Raymond Michaud; sister Amber LaGrange and her husband Richard; nephew Richard LaGrange, his wife Serena, and children Saije and Harmony; nephew Eric Powlesland and his fiancé Ashley; niece Katelyn Gove, her husband Justin, and their daughter Amelia; niece Teasha Crockett and her children Darrell and Amiyah; nephew Timothy LaGrange; Uncle Kermit and Aunt Jeanne; cousin Brent Cogswell, his significant other Catie, and children Angie, Bradford, and Jameson; cousin Michael Higgins; cousin Brittany Bartlett, her fiancé Trevor, and children Brandon, Noah, and Cameron.

Andrea is predeceased by her nephew Miciel LaGrange, another beautiful soul gone way too soon.
