Anna Theresa (Caswell) Chandler, 85, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away peacefully after a short illness on December 29, 2021. Anna was born in New Gloucester, ME on September 28, 1936. She was the daughter of John and Erma (Eveleth) Chandler. Anna graduated from Gould Academy in 1956 and Westbrook Junior College in 1958.
Anna is survived by her four children: Andrew Caswell of Albany, NY, Catherine Caswell of Gray, ME, Dana Caswell and his wife Sharon of Clarksville, NY and Cynthia Smith and her husband Steven of Falmouth, ME. Anna is also survived by her brother James Chandler and his wife Dolores of Hallowell, ME and by her niece Sue Chandler and her husband George of Hallowell, ME and her nephew Peter Chandler and his husband Kirk of Bath, ME. Anna is also survived by her grandchildren who she adored: Ryan Smith and his wife Randi, Connor Smith, Tyler Smith and his partner Swathi, Jenny Smith and her husband Quinn, Amanda Caswell and Hayden Caswell Kendall.
Anna had a wide circle of friends and extended family in the Sea Woods Community of New Smyrna Beach where she spent much of the year enjoying the Florida sunshine and in Maine where she spent her summers on Sabbathday Lake. She loved to entertain and socialize. She was the life of any party or picnic. Her generous heart extended to all who knew her.
A burial service in the Lower Gloucester Cemetery will be held on May 21, 2022 at 11am, followed by a celebration of her life at Caswell Farm in Gray, ME. All are welcome.
