Arveen Hope Berryman, aged 83, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Gray, ME. Born on September 13, 1941, Arveen dedicated her life to her community and family, leaving a legacy of love and service.
Arveen was actively involved in her community as a Cub Scout leader, 4H leader, and Sunday school teacher at North Yarmouth Congregational Church. Her devotion to family was evident through her weekly breakfast gatherings and the cherished Sunday family dinners she hosted. Known affectionately as "Nanie" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was filled with pride and joy.
An avid New England Patriots fan, Arveen also enjoyed shopping, traveling, and watching Disney and Hallmark movies. Her hobbies included knitting and crochet, which she pursued with great passion.
Arveen was a devout member of Grace Church of Windham, ME, where she found spiritual solace and community.
She is survived by her son John Berryman of Orford, NH; daughters Margaret (Peggy) Theriault of Gray, ME, Brenda and George Anderson of Pownal, ME, and Stephanie and Kenny Griffin of Gray, ME; along with 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Arveen was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Berryman; brother, Ronald DeWolfe; parents, William and Hope DeWolfe; and son-in-law, Rodney Theriault.
A service to celebrate Arveen's life will be held on November 2, 2024, at Noon at Grace Church, 628 Gray Rd. (Route 202), Windham, ME, followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Animal Refuge League of Westbrook, ME, and Grace Church of Windham, ME, in memory of Arveen.
