North Yarmouth – Bradley Jewett, age 59, passed away peacefully at home August 1, 2020 with his partner and best friend for 35 years, Starr Noseworthy at his side.
Brad grew up in Yarmouth and Pownal, he graduated from Freeport High School. He had a raucous youth and good life for many years. His friends were many and the adventures were numerous.
Brad loved the outdoors and spending time hunting, fishing and being with his friends. Pictures of his hunting and fishing adventures show just how successful these endeavors were for him and his friends. Brad had a great sense of humor, cracking jokes and making wry comments even while going through stressful and difficult circumstances.
Brad has been blessed by having a wonderful partner, Starr, and incredible neighbors and friends; Kevin, Sheila and Nate Robinson; who helped him immensely throughout his time in his North Yarmouth home. Another good friend, Jean Russell, shared the good times with Brad and Starr, and was there when he needed extra help at the end.
Brad loved his family and his friends. He especially loved it when little ones would come and visit for awhile. Little children really loved seeing “Uncle” Brad and showing him their trucks or toys, and playing on the rug in front of his recliner. He and Starr had a special relationship with their niece and godchild, Laura (Meyer) Gagnon. Laura recently added a little girl to the family, Layla, and Brad really enjoyed seeing this new addition as she has grown over these last 11 months.
Brad is survived by Starr Noseworthy, brothers Brian, Jeffrey and Daryl Jewett; sisters Cynthia Slocum and Cheryl Meyer; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by all.
A celebration of his life will be held August 29th, at Durham Amvets Hall, 1049 Royalsborough Road, Durham, Maine from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. We hope you can come and share some fond memories and stories of Brad with us.
