Brian passed away on July 28, 2023 at Lahey Medical Center in MA. He was surrounded by family as he lost his fight with Liver Disease.
Brian was born in Portland on July 16, 1975 to Robert and Mary Perry. He spent the first three years of life living in California and Italy as Robert was enlisted in the military. Upon returning to the U.S., Brian grew up and attended schools in Gray and New Gloucester. He played many sports including Little League and Senior League Baseball, Soccer, Basketball and Snow Boarding. As an adult Brian's passions were the New England Patriots, Disc Golf and Harley Davidson motorcycles, spending countless hours riding the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
As a young man, Brian traveled around the country following Phish and the Grateful Dead. He lived in Colorado working at Ski Resorts and Golf Clubs. He also lived in Lake Tahoe, CA where he worked at a Marina as a paddle boat host and photographer. Brian had a zest for life and there wasn't anything he wouldn't try, whatever it was, he would usually excel at it.
After returning to Maine, Brian worked many jobs in the restaurant business. He worked at PROP as a heating assistance intake worker. Many Jobs in the insulation field and most recently at Superior Insulation in New Hampshire as a Salesman. Brian became too ill to work.
Brian is predeceased by grandparents Barbara and Thomas Carroll, his Nana, Mary E. Gilpatric. He is survived by his mother, Mary Perry. His father, Robert Perry and his wife Andrea. His brother Kenneth Perry and his partner Jessica Abdalla and nephew Grayson Perry of Escondido, CA. Two sons Ethan Gillis of Westbrook and Bastian Perry of Ocean View, DE.. Two very special girls, Anna and Addie who lovingly called him Bumpa. Brian's partner Bobbie Leighton was always making him laugh. She re introduced him to the Boston Bruins and it wasn't long before before he was hooked. They shared a love of true crime, scary movies, music, cooking shows, Mexican food, and Ice Cream. Brian also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends who all called him Bri Dog.
A Service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home , 24 Shaker Rd., Gray , Maine 04039 on Saturday, August 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by an interment at Smith Cemetery Windham following the service. A gathering at the American Legion Hall, Lewiston Rd., Gray, Maine from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
