Brian Petersen

Brian Petersen 66, passed away from underlying health issues at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine on October 22, 2024

He was born on December 11th, 1957 to Robert Petersen and Beverly Petersen (Bragdon). He graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1976 as President of his graduating class. He then went on to University of Maine in Orono and graduated in 1979 with highest distinction of his class. He last worked at L.L. Bean but he spent many years in excavating at Les Wilson and Sons in Westbrook. Brian was a very well liked, spiritual man. He enjoyed gardening, working outside, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 45 1/2 years Diane Petersen (Whitney), a daughter Kellie Overton (Petersen), and Her husband Earl , Two Grandchildren Angel and Branden, Two sisters Holly Carroll and Karen Jameson, Two Uncles Arthur Bragdon and James Bragdon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
