Dale LaPointe Obituary

Dale M LaPointe passed away peacefully at home May 19,2020 after fighting prostate and bone cancer. Dale was the loving husband of Constance LaPointe. They had been married just over 39 years at his death. Dale was also a loving father to his two daughters Karen Moon and Kim StClair.

 

Dale grew up in Saco, Maine and spent the last 13 years residing in New Gloucester with his wife and their four beloved cats. Dale was a proud veteran who served in the Army. He was a hard worker and retired from the United States Postal Service in 1997 as a Mail Handler. Previously he had spent 18 years working at Maremont Corporation in Saco. 

 

Dale loved collecting stamps,coins, postcards along with cards of all kinds from Sporting to Pokémon. It was not only his hobby but it was his passion. He spent many a weekend selling at the Southern Maine Flea Market in Scarborough where he met and made many special friends.

 

Dale loved to travel and go on cruises with his wife. He had a strong love for family and for His Loving Savior Jesus Christ. He was also crazy about their four cats but especially his cat Jazzy who was by his side when he took his final breath.

 

Dale is survived by his wife Constance of New Gloucester, his daughter Karen Moon and her husband Eric of Greenville, and his daughter Kim StClair and her fiancé Andrew Knowles of Durham, Me. He is also survived by his brother Albert LaPointe and his wife Lillian of Saco, his brother Baito LaPointe and his wife Terry of Saco, and his sister Margaret Webster of Connecticut. He was predeceased by his two sisters Arlene Nadeau and Bernice Nadeau both of Saco.

 

Dale is also survived by his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial will be given at a later date. The family is requesting if you would like to make a donation to make one to the Dempsey Center in Lewiston.
