David L Thurlow JR. 62 of North Yarmouth ME
David L Thurlow Jr. (Dave) passed away with his family by his side on Thursday January 16, 2025.
David was born in Portland ME. He grew up in North Yarmouth. attended North Yarmouth/Cumbland schools.
He returned to his family's home in 1998 to raise his children there. He has a passion for Nascar racing. He built and drove his own race car for many years at Beechridge, Oxford speedway, Wiscasset Speedway many many more race tracks in the state and out of state also most demolition derbys at the fairs. He was a fierce competitor when it came to any racing and demolition events. He would love to set up cars for his family and friends so they could experience the thrill of the race. Dave Loved spending time up at the family camp on Moosehead Lake. He spent his last days up there building a new camp for his family to enjoy.
He owned and operated Thurlows Transmissions and Auto repair for many years ,in Gray at 243 shaker rd. This was his passion working on vehicles. He woke up everyday looking forward to going to work.
He is Predeceased by his father David L Thurlow SR. and his mother Carol J (Hoglund) Thurlow.
He leaves behind a wife Teresa (Small) Thurlow , her 2 children. His son David McLeod and his wife Meagan of Hollis ME, His son David Thurlow 3rd of South Portland, His Son Joshua Thurlow and his wife Caitlin of North Yarmouth ,His daughter Carol Thurlow of Gray.
His grandchildren Trinity Breaux, her husband ,David McLeod JR, Marcus McLeod, Lincon McLeod, David Thurlow IV,Mckinley Thurlow, Jullian Thurlow, Lexi Thurlow, Natalia Thurlow,J oshua Thurlow JR. Anthony Peters Jr. and a granddaughter on her way ,and his 2 stepchildren Patrick and Jessica Stanley. Also one great granddaughter Leilah Breaux.
