Donald (Don) Alfred Loignon of Biddeford, Maine died on the morning of August 7 th at St.
Mary's hospital in Lewiston, Maine. His wife Janet was by his side when he passed. Don is
survived by his daughters, Lisa and Tracy, and sons, Scott and Andy, as well as several
grandchildren. Don will be remembered as a devoted husband who loved and cared for Janet. A
hard worker throughout his entire life, Don started working as a young man and didn't stop until
he retired from Exxon. When he wasn't working, you could find Don watching one his favorite
teams from Boston or enjoying a game of cribbage (he would never let you miss pegging a point).
Anyone who knew Don would say he was affable and gregarious. He loved telling stories and
jokes to friends, families, and neighbors. He could even, and often did, strike up a conversation
with strangers in a waiting room or the checkout aisle at the grocery store. Don held a special
place in many people's lives and will be missed.
