Donald Perley York Sr. age 73 passed away on February 19th 2026 at Maine Medical Center in Portland due to irreversible organ failure.

He was a hard working, intelligent and very entrepreneurial man. He was a skilled baker taught as a child by his father. Later he was a self taught home builder,mechanic and computer repair expert.

He was a kind and loving family man. He was also considered a mentor to many young people in the community. He led youth groups at his church similar to Boy Scouts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his pets like they were family.

His Christian faith was always at the forefront of his mind and he was highly regarded at his local church.

He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Deanna and their three daughters Jennifer,Michelle and Stephanie.

Also his first wife Teresa and their daughter and son Chantelle and Dj (Donald P.York Jr.)

Sisters Beverly,Deborah,Becky and Susan as well as his brother Edwin.

Also many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His predecessors are his mother Jeanne and father Perley York, his brother Sam and sister Betty.

There will be no ceremony per his last wishes.

He will be cremated and ashes made available to immediate family members who so desire.

All who met him will be forever touched by his life’s energy! In that way he is here to stay!
