Dorothy Tibbetts {Dottie) 79 of Gray passed away at her home with her family by her side on January 1st, 2022.
Dottie was born in Rumford on October 29th, 1942, to Donald and Elsie (Dean) Smith she grew up in Andover and was the oldest of 4 children and Dottie being the only girl. Dottie graduated from Andover high school and went to college in Lewiston. After graduating college Dottie found a job working for the State of Maine and worked there for 37 years where she had met lifelong friends. Dottie married the love of her life Edward Tibbetts in June of 1975 and had two children together.
She has one grandchild Chase who was the light of her life. If you asked about Chase her face would just light up. Dottie loved her porcelain dolls which she collected for over 20 years. Dottie was also a collector of Longaberger baskets and also a consultant. The family would get together and have at home parties where lots of laughs could be had.
Dottie is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Elsie {Dean) Smith.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 47 years Edward Tibbetts and her sons Corey and Chad Tibbetts all of Gray. Her grandson Chase of North Yarmouth. Brothers Donnie Smith of East Andover, Phillip Smith of Roxbury Pond Andover and Richard Smith of Monmouth. She also leaves behind her baby Henry, The cutest little Yorkie you ever did see. She also leaves behind 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
Services will be at the Bible Believing Baptist Church at 92 Center Rd Gray Maine, on Saturday January15th• Visitation hours will be 10-11 followed by funeral services at 11. After the service will be a celebration of life luncheon downstairs in the church in the banquet hall.
