Eleanor Chase Thurlow

1948 - 2022

New Gloucester - Eleanor Chase Thurlow, 73 of Poland, passed away on Monday January 17th at CMMC in Lewiston. She was born on May 17th, 1948 in New Gloucester, the daughter of Wayland & Melba Chase, Sr.

Ellie was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4131 in New Gloucester and the American Legion Post 86 in Gray. She worked at Liberty Oil in Gray for many years and the Eagles Club in New Gloucester.

She was predeceased by her parents, Brothers Russell, Buddy, Bucky, Bobby, Kenny and Rusty. Sisters Pinky, Aleta and Amy.

Survivors include her former husband and longtime companion Rocky Thurlow, her son Brad Liberty and wife Vicky, her daughter Tammy Frechette and husband Aldee. Grandchildren Angela, Amber and Hunter Liberty, and Tawny Wilson. Seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Sisters Dolly Robinson, Sharon Plummer and Bonnie Whyte.

In-laws George and Effie Thurlow and family.

A celebration of life and burial will take place in the spring.
