Eric (Bouc) Charles Ray Jr passed away on February 3, 2026 surrounded by his family. Diagnosed in 2019, Eric fought a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Eric was born on September 27, 1970 to Eric and Anita Ray. He was raised on the Penny Road in New Gloucester, Maine with his two brothers and surrounded up and down the road by his many Ray cousins and uncles and aunts. He also spent most of his free time in Bridgton at his "Grams" house, with his Richardson family.
After graduating from Gray-New Gloucester High School, Eric worked in many fields, including farming, carpentry, a golf course and Maschino's Lumber. He was always known to be a hard worker, regardless of the job at hand.
Eric was an avid outdoorsman and a skilled hunter. He was known in his youth to be a hell raiser and was always ready for some fun. He always loved his family and friends deeply, but his daughters were the light of his life. The love and support of McKenzie, Bailey, Brianne and Bridget filled his heart and kept him strong. He was so proud of each of them and would call them, "my girls" with such love in his voice. The friendship of his brother Tony was another huge source of pride. On November 6 of 2025, Eric became a grandfather to Emmitt and was thrilled beyond words to be called "Papa." Eric had so many other special friends and cousins, including John White, Rick Jordan and Todd Athearn. The list goes on and on.
Eric was predeceased by his "Gram" Richardson, his mother Anita and his father Eric Sr. He is survived by his daughters, McKenzie, Bridget, Bailey and Brianne, grandson Emmitt and his brothers Tony and Brad, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn for all the love and support they provided to Eric and his family.
Visiting hours will be held at Wilson's Funeral Home in Gray on February 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
