It is with deep sadness and rejoicing that we announce that Gene went home to be with his Lord and Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on September 5, 2021. He was courageous in the years he battled many medical issues he suffered, because of his exposure to AGENT ORANGE, which finally took him.

During that time he attended college on the GI Bill majoring in Business administration and education. He earned his degree from Liberty College, Knoxville, Tennessee, graduating in 1982. Also during this time he worked at several financial institutions, in 1980 he became the principal/teacher at Grace Baptist Church School. Portland, Maine, where he loved his students deeply hoping he would make a positive Godly influence on their lives. Gene retired from teaching in 1999.
Gene loved the Lord with all his heart, teaching his children to do the same. He was a caring loving father, papa and great papa making sure to spend as much quality time with them as he physically could.
