Gray-Francis L. Lund left this early plane on April 18, 2023. He was born in Portland, Maine on December 4, 1934, to Austin G. and Katherine W. Leeman. He was the 8th of 13 children and the last of his siblings to survive.
Francis was married to Barbara M. Berry on April 14, 1955. They were married for 47 years, until her death in 2002. He attended schools in both Portland and Gray, dropping out of school to help support his large family. He returned to school in his 60's and received his GED.
Francis worked as bricklayer/stone mason all his life and worked on many buildings throughout Maine.
He was a longtime member of the First Church of Nazarene, Windham, where he held many position such as Sunday School Teacher, Board member, and Deacon, just to name a few. He also had a local preachers license.
He is survived by four sons; Roger (Vicki) of New Gloucester, Warren and partner Deb McLaggen, Peter of Gray, and Andrew of Amherst, N.Y. Four grandchildren Tom, Trevor, Monica Lund and Adrienne Lund. He is also survived by one great-grandchildren Riley Lund. As well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Brooklawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 25th at 11a.m. There will also be a memorial service at the First Church of the Nazarene, Windham, on Sunday, April 30th at 2p.m.
