1947-2021

 

New Gloucester- Gaynelle Louise Becker (nee Palmer) passed away unexpectedly on October 20th.

            Gaynelle was born November 23, 1947 in Farmington, ME the daughter of Gervin & Marjorie Palmer. She graduated from Dixfield High School in 1966. After High School she married and had two daughters. Then in 1990 she married Raymond Becker. After living abroad & in California for several years they retired and moved back to Maine to be closer to family.

Gaynelle enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, music & baking. Quick witted with a great sense of humor you could always see her laughing with her friends and family.  She adored her beloved cat Sammy and doted on her Grand & Great-Grandkids. She was an amazing host & cook and her house was always beautifully decorated for every holiday and always had homemade treats on her counter. Kind hearted to her neighbors, friends & loved ones she was the first to help out or make a special meal if needed. She was a treasure to everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Ray Becker of New Gloucester, daughters Laurie Sinnett of Gorham, Christina Johnson & her husband Fred of Windham, step-son James Becker & his wife Kate of Bath and step-daughter Emma Becker of Brunswick, a brother Jeff Palmer of Dixfield, Grandchildren Brittney King & her husband Michael of Gorham, Allison Sinnett of Gorham, Drew Potter of Windham & Nolan & Elliott Becker of Bath, along with two great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded by both of her parents, brothers Weston Palmer, Jimmy Palmer and sister-in-law Judith Palmer.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday October 29 10:30a.m. to 11:30a.m. with a Memorial Service immediately following both at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Rd Gray, ME. Graveside service immediately following at Lower Gloucester Cemetery in New Gloucester.
