George W. Anderson Sr.

Pownal- George W. Anderson Sr, 83, died Friday October 24, 2025 surrounded by family. 

Born in Portland the son of Cornelious and Evelyn McKenney Anderson November 6, 1941. 

George was a Truckdriver for 47 years, Carpenter, and enjoyed BeeKeeping, Bird Watching, and Woodworking. He was a Boy Scout Leader and volunteered in Church. He married Janice Berry in 1964 and they had four children. Angela M. Giannotti, George W. Anderson Jr, ReBecca L. King, and Kenneth N. Anderson. Grandchildren, Scott King, Chelsea Campbell, Cassidy Anderson,Isaac Giannotti, Grace M. Anderson, Shawn Copp, Andrew Giannotti, Kathy Jo-Jordan, Evlyn Anderson, and Alexa Brown. 

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray. There will be a funeral Friday 10a.m. North Pownal Community Center, 851 Lawrence Road, Pownal. Committal will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
