The youngest of four boys, Phil Farr, Richard Farr, and Dennis Farr, all of which are deceased.
Gerry, an Army Veteran served our Country under Military Contract in Maryland for 14 years . Stationed in Turkey in the 1960's. Returning home, he was a hard worker.He enjoyed working in the wood's, driving his tractor. In 1980 he joined the A. L. Williams Com and sold Life Insurance, he quickly got promoted. to Regional Vice President in 1983 and onto a National Sales Director in 1986. Gerry and his Team of Insurance Sales People grew to over 30 offices throughout New England.
Gerry retired just over 8 years ago. He and his wife Sharon Diehl Farr of 40 years moved back to Maine and resided in Biddeford, Maine. His son Ryan Farr and fiancê Janet, Keith and his wife have been by his side through his illness.
Gerry loved to golf, was a founding member oat the North Hampton Country Club of Amelia Island Florida. He was also a member of the Bartram Trail Golf Club. Catholic Religion kept him in the Church. From a very early age, where he and his brother Richard served as Alter Boys.
Gerry's beautiful blue eyes and his bright smile sparked the love between he and his wife Sharon. Married over 40 years and having raised his son Ryan with many family vacations of skiing and boating excursions were the the fun of this Family Group. Overall attitude about life was said in a song by Louis Armstrong, " What a Wonderful World" . His greatest achievement was to fly on Air Force 1 with Ronald Reagan. He lived many dreams and now rests with the Lord in Peace.
