Gerald I. Myers, age 85, of Gray, Maine, passed away peacefully at his home on May
1, 2026.
Gerry was born on August 15, 1940. He proudly served his country as a member of the
United States Marine Corps and later dedicated his career to public service as a police
officer. He was also a proud member of the Veterans Legion, maintaining strong ties to
his fellow servicemen and community throughout his life.
A man of many talents and deep passions, Gerry—was a lifelong musician and
songwriter. He loved playing acoustic guitar, but his true passion was the bass guitar,
where his strong stage presence truly shone. Throughout his life, he was a member of
multiple bands, sharing his love of music with others and creating lasting memories both
on and off the stage.
Beyond music, Gerry had a deep appreciation for classic cars and spent many years
riding, collecting and attending car shows. He also loved spending time at the casino
and had a unique interest in collecting old cameras and typewriters, reflecting his
appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Known for his generosity, he donated to
several charitable causes throughout his life.
He is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife, Olga, their souls joined once more,
resting together in a love that transcends time and carries on beyond this life.
He is lovingly remembered by his family: Donald Myers, Carolyn Myers, Gerald Myers,
Jerrilynn Rosado, Julie A.M. Hale, Donnie Myers Jr., and several grandchildren, along
with many nieces and nephews. His presence, talents, and dedication to those he loved
will be deeply missed.
A service to honor Gerry’s life will be held at a later date in May.
Gerry to those who knew him best—will be remembered for his service, creativity, and
the lasting impact he made on those around him.
The family kindly suggests that memorial donations can be made to the following
