Jeffrey S. McCourt  (1963-2021)

Jeffrey S. McCourt, of Raymond, passed away, after a long battle with cancer, on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at his beloved home, surrounded by family and friends. Jeff was born on March 4, 1963 in Waterville, to Dennis (predeceased) and Cynthia  (Dawn) McCourt. He is survived by his mother, Dawn, fiancée Elise Morin, three brothers Dennis, David, and Don, and his daughter, Jessica Raleigh.

Jeff lived in Raymond, for over 35 years, where he designed and built his own home, on top of a mountain.  Jeff worked at Whitney Tree Service for more than 20 years, where he became a licensed arborist, before he started his own company, Maintenance Plus. Jeff was well known and highly respected for his dedication and attention to detail, in his work. He was adored by his clients, as well as respected by the community.  

Jeff loved to race drag sled at Oxford Dragway on Friday nights, during the summer, and he won several trophies.  An avid snowmobiler in Maine and New Hampshire, he was a member of the Umbagog Snowmobile Club, where he worked tirelessly at functions, such as grass drags, poker runs, steak feeds, and other snowmobile club events.  

Jeff will be remembered for his love of family and friends, his  kindness, thoughtfulness, and extreme loyalty.  He had a quick smile, and always replied “Mighty fine!”, when asked how he was feeling, even when he wasn’t feeling well.  His positive attitude was contagious.

There will be no service, per his request.
