Joann (Joan) Black 

1935-2024

Portland - Joann Black, 88, formally of Portland, ME, passed away at Clover Manor, in Auburn, ME, with family at her side, after a brief illness.

Joann was born in Dexter, ME to Almon and Blanche Carter.  Joanie lived and worked most of her life in Portland. Joanie graduated from Portland High School in 1954. She enjoyed her work in healthcare and volunteering at the Portland schools.

Joann is predeceased by her parents, her Brother Gary Carter, and her beloved Granddaughter, Danylle Doyle.

Joann is survived by her Daughter, Cheryl Doyle, and Husband, Dan. Her Daughter, Laurie Tseka, and Husband, John. Her Grandson, Scott Doyle, and Wife, Amanda, along with Great Grandsons, Ethan and Carter Doyle.

At Joann's request, there will be no services.
