Joyce Elaine Morrison Beedy

New Gloucester – Joyce Elaine Morrison Beedy, 71, of New Gloucester, died Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Androscoggin Home Health Hospice House. She is home with her Lord and Savior.

She was born in Portland on May 12, 1952, the daughter of Arnold and Doris Morrison, the oldest daughter of six children.

She was a 1970 graduate of Edward LittleHigh School, followed by the St. Mary’s School of Nursing the class of 1973. She worked 40 years as a registered nurse between St. Mary’s Hospital, Androscoggin Home Health and Medical Rehabilitation Associates.

She enjoyed cross country skiing, hiking the Appalachian trail, kayaking, knitting, sewing, her camp in Mariaville and with dear friends in Beaver Cove, traveling,  especially her last trip to Scotland and being with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband Dennis and her children, Molly and Nicholas Fabbricante of New Gloucester and Megan and Jared Strout of New Gloucester.  Her sisters and families, Kathy and Bruce Libby, Sylvia and Scott Dehetre.  Her brothers and families, Donald and Elaine Morrison, Galen and Karen Morrison and Kevin and Tina Morrison.  Her many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Gray Maine on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be a graveside service for the family at the New Gloucester Cemetery, Lower New Yard at 10 AM.  A Memorial Service will be at the New Gloucester Bible Church on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00am.

Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray Maine.
