North Yarmouth - Kenneth Charles Allen born in 1936 to Ernest and Ellen Allen in North Yarmouth, Maine, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021.
Ken graduated from North Yarmouth Academy where he met and married, Janet Gagnon (d.2001). He and Janet had two children, Jenyce and Belinda.
A lifelong resident of North Yarmouth, Ken served as a selectman and on various town committees. He retired from Pineland Center after 33 years and Goff's Hardware. In recent years, Ken would say his occupation was a 'tree cutter'. You rarely saw him without a chainsaw.
Ken and Janet were able to build their dream home, enjoy many golf trips and loved to spoil their dogs and grandchildren. Ken’s photography of his cardinals and woodpeckers was legendary.
Ken is survived by his daughter, Jenyce and son-in-law, Robert Levi from South Freeport, ME and daughter, Belinda and son-in-law, Daniel Merrill from Portland, ME, granddaughters Katherine and Jayme (Sava),
great-grandsons, Stefano and Alessio, and his 102 year old dear sister, Marian MacPherson.

The family would like to thank Southern Maine Hospice, Gosnell House and our caregivers, Kathy, Sara and Earold for providing Ken comfort and sharing their wisdom.
