Larry passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 4th after a prolonged illness. He was born in Teaneck NJ in 1951 where he lived and played with his family until they moved to Englishtown NJ. He attended Rutgers University graduating in 1974 with a BA degree.
Larry was accepted at the State Police Academy and graduated with the 91st recruitment training class in 1975. He served 30 yrs on the force. Upon retirement he moved to Maine with his wife Peggy
Larry was an avid Outdoors man and an especially good fisherman He loved gardening and his dahlias were famous among family and friends. He enjoyed hiking, entertaining, building projects, and practical jokes. Larry was always ready for any adventure.
Larry was pre deceased by his Father and Mother , Charles and Audrey Schiereck and son Kevin Schiereck. He was survived by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Schiereck, and his siblings Ellen Schiereck, Chuck (Charles) Schiereck, Audrey Schiereck Bryant, and his daughter Jennifer Schiereck.
