Cumberland- On November 2, 2024 Lyndon Elliott McAllister was peacefully called to Heaven.
Lyndon was born on September 13, 1940 in Lewiston to Hope Whittier Foote and Hazen Elliott McAllister.
Family and friends were the highlight of Lyndon's life. Lyn graduated from Deering High School in 1959 where he was recognized for his outstanding plays for the Ram's Football Team. After High School, Lyn joined the Air Force in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1964. It was during this time he met the love of his life, Mary Clota Bell of Trent, Texas. Lyn worked for 42 years as a Black Smith at McFarland Spring Company in Portland. He was an avid Sportsman and a proud lifetime member of the Davy Crockett Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a faithful Red Sox and Patriots Fan, seldom missing a game. Lyndon was a faithful Christian and a 50 year member of the Grace Baptist Church in Portland.
He is survived by his children Kimberlean O'Connor and her Husband Kevin, Lyndia Potter and her husband James of Wasilla, Ak, Clyde McAllister of Cumberland and Jessie Flowers and her husband William of Adrian, MI. His twin sister, Lynda Richardson of Kennebunk, ME and sister Joanne Conant of North Turner, ME. His two brothers, Herbie McAllister and wife Cindy of Windham, ME. and David Strout and his wife Maria of Rota, Spain. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, parents and sister Irene Brown.
He leaves seven Grandchildren Bethany Potter-Desmond, Jimmy Potter , Brenton Potter all from Wasilla, AK. Paul Fearon Jr of Gorham, ME, Ebbonie Dunn of Madison, ME, Jonathan Flowers and Abigail Flowers of Adrian, MI. 9 Great Grandchildren and 7 Step Great- Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to thank the main members of his Hospice Team for the care and love they have shown to Dad, specifically Addy, Angie, Martine, Susan, Donna, Ron, and Haley.
