Mary Jane Beaupre

Mary Jane Gorham Beaupre passed away on April 12, 2023 at the Gosnell Hospice after a period of declining health. She was 99 years old.

May Jane was born in Houlton, Maine on January 24,1924. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Cecil A. Beaupre, her parents Frank and Annie Atchison Gorham, and her siblings George W. Gorham, Frank Gorham, and Elizabeth Gorham Mason Curphy.

Mary Jane graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1942, and Becker College in Boston, Class of 1944. She worked as a secretary at Hampden Hall Country Day School in Hampton, CT for 28 years. 

Upon of her retirement in 1988 Cecil and Mary Jane moved to Scarborough, Maine, where they enjoyed many happy years at Whistler Landing. They spent many fun-filled times with dear friends and neighbors in Scarborough.

Mary Jane and Cecil enjoyed traveling, and twice chaperoned students learning French to Switzerland, with side trips to Rome and Paris. They adored the majestic Swiss Alps and surrounding towns! They also enjoyed many wonderful summers at their camp on East Grand Lake in Orient, Maine.

Mary Jane is survived by her nephews Ted and Linda Mason of Radnor, PA, Norma Gorham of Saco, Richard Gorham of Westbrook, Frank and Kathleen Gorham of Gray, Godchild Camila Parker of Scarborough, special great niece Angela Galeucia of Scarborough, and many more great nieces and nephews.

At Mary Jane's request there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Gosnell Hospice, where Mary Jane was lovingly cared for in her final days.
