Michael J. Kirk

Michael J. Kirk, 52 of Lewiston Passed away unexpectedly January 16, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. 

Born October 17, 1969, in Lynn, Massachusetts. Mike grew up in Lynn Until he moved to Maine in 1991 where he made his home. He worked various jobs throughout his life until he became disabled. 

Always the one to put a smile on someone's face by saying   "that reminds me of a joke".  And then proceeding to tell some corny joke you couldn't help but laugh at. Mike had the biggest heart willing to help anyone in need if he was able. His life was his family. Especially his children and grandchildren. And he had an extra special bond with his dog CJ. 

Mike was very much into music of all kinds. You would never know what would pop up on his play list. But his song was Enter Sandman as many people knew him by his nickname "Sandman". Along with music Mike enjoyed playing World of Warcraft on the computer. He made many friends gaming online from around the world. 

Mike is survived by his mother Betty Kirk of Stoneham, Massachusetts, His father Michael P. Kirk and wife Sandi of Lynn, Massachusetts. Children Christopher Kirk of Lewiston, Eric Kirk of Auburn, Jordyn Gagne of Lewiston, Ashley McNamara of Mexico and Kaylee-Mae Degen of Rumford. Grandchildren Ember Kirk, Elijah Dostie and Liam Welch. 

His ex wife, and caregiver and best friend Eleanor Colby and her husband Shawn of Lewiston. His childhood friend ad brother Everett Jankowski Sr and wife Julie of Lewiston.  Many Aunts, Uncle's and cousins, nieces, nephews, and his God daughter Angel-Lynn. He was also survived by many of his kid's friends who called him Daddy Mike and their kids who called him Grandpa Mike. And many many friends from all over the country. 

He was predeceased by his little brother Scott Kirk of Massachusetts
