Our dear mother, Nancy A. Thoits sadly passed away at home on March 30, 2024, at the age of 81. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She loved everyone and was a mom to anyone who walked through her door. She was born in Cumberland, one of four daughters to Milton Flint and Madeline Goding. She was a graduate of Greely High School. After being a stay at home mom, Nancy worked for 25 years at Down East Village Restaurant in Yarmouth. She loved talking with her customers and taking care of people. Nancy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, working in her flower gardens, watching and feeding the birds and shopping, especially for shoes. Nancy’s husband of 33 years, Linwood W. Thoits, passed away on May 10, 1996. Nancy is survived by her partner of 25 years Elvin Copp; her son, Ricky W. (Nellie) of Poland; Cheryl L. (Scott) Bellefleur of Gray. She was the proud grandmother of five grandsons: Jacob W. (Elizabeth); Zachary S. (Molly); Cody L. (Camryn); Nicholas S. (Cassandra); and Timothy J. (Emma). She was the extremely proud great grandmother to Rylinn Elizabeth and Logan William.
