Patricia Black Obituary

Patricia Elizabeth (Bond-McCann) Black of Gray, Maine was called home to heaven on July 21, 2022.
Patricia was born on March 17, 1942, in Thomasville, Georgia to Earnest and Louise (Bloodworth) Bond.
Pat Came to Maine after marrying her soulmate John Leon McCann of New Gloucester, Maine.
Where they settled and raised their three daughters and ran a plumbing and heating business. She
worked for MSAD 15 and numerous family businesses until her husband’s death.
Pat met her second husband Hugo Clay Black and returned to Georgia where she worked and retired
from Georgia Pines, as a mental health and substance abuse counselor, helping many adults and
children. They returned to Maine to be with family after her retirement.
Pat was a fun-loving soul, beloved by all who met her, she will be missed by her family and friends. Pat
participated in 4-H, loved animals, riding horses, crafts, traveling, gardening, the ocean, and most of all
her family.
Pat is predeceased by her parents, siblings Yvonne Haskins and Wesley Bond, her first husband John
McCann, second husband Hugo Black, son in-law Leslie (Bob) Chase.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Chase, Pamela Sullivan, Donna Shaw her son in-laws
Michael Sullivan and Steven Shaw. Grandchildren Seth, Megan (Dustin Pepin), and Lucas (Tiffany Stilkey)
Chase, Jessica (Dan) Morel, James, (Diana) Sullivan, Deni (Jason MacKaye) McCann-Shaw, Amanda,
Thomas (Nichole Brackett) and Jaymes Shaw.
Great grandchildren Blake, and Luna Pepin, Marcus and Nina Morel, Hannah, and Isaac Sullivan, Tyler,
Kamron, and Allison MacKaye, Nataliya, Viera, and Onnika Nazaroff, Avaylynn, Annalee, Samuel and Nivi
Shaw, Many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces/nephews, and friends in Alabama, Georgia, and
Maine.
A graveside service will be held at Upper Gloucester Cemetery, 155 Bald Hill Rd. New Gloucester, Maine,
on August 13, 2022 at 10 AM.
