Gray-Peter Freeman age 64 passed away April 21st. at home after dealing with Parkinson’s disease for 24 years. He was born May 17, 1956 to Frances and Harold Freeman. He was a graduate from Greely High School. He worked at Yarmouth Paint and later went on to own his own business Walnut Hill Flooring for many years.
His passions included playing guitar, trumpet, singing, dancing, building and enjoying time on his tractor. Peter lived his life with such zest. He was a hard worker, outgoing, kind and loving. He had a great sense of humor, always the life of any gathering. Laughter was always an echo throughout thanks to Peter! He gave to many and was always ready to lend a hand. Pete was remarkable in the way he could tackle any project he attempted and succeed.
Pete and Barb were married for 34yrs. He was a very loving husband and such a great friend. Peter is survived by his wife Barbara Hicks Freeman. He is also survived by his brother Glen Freeman, Step-Brother Chris Sweester. Pete’s sisters Sandra Russell, Cynthia Freeman, Diane Normand and Jody Freeman. Also survived by Barb’s brother Tony Hicks and her sister Joyce Witham. He is survived by many relatives. He is predeceased by his step-daughter Stacy Bragg whom he
loved from the minute he became involved in her life. In addition to being predeceased by his mother and father Peter was predeceased by his stepfather Robert Sweetser.
There will be a small graveside service for family and close friends May 8, 2021 at Walnut Hill Cemetery North Yarmouth at 2:00 pm. Due to Covid please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, you may make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
