Richard L. Kimball 1970-2021 Rick Kimball of New Gloucester passed away at his home surrounded by his closest family and friends after a 14 month courageous battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Rick married his "I love you more" Robin Kimball in March 2004 creating what they called a yours mine and ours family. Rick had 2 children of his own Brianna Shaffer and Beau Kimball, Robin had one child of her own Damien Pringle and together they had Emmalee Kimball. There are also 6 grandchildren. Serenity, Hunter, Tracker, Preston, Grayson and Isaiah.
Rick was well known in the community as the very proud owner of R&R Auto Repair, a business he began with his wife in 2011. He worked long hard hours to provide a long lasting trust between himself and every customer that came through those doors. He made alot of friends along the years and deeply appreciated the support of his dream to own and operate his own shop.
He was very involved in the racing community beginning with driving the #02 Wildcat at Beech Ridge in 2002 and ended with driving the #26 Outlaw at Oxford Plains Speedway in 2018. When Rick was diagnosed he chose to step down as a driver giving the wheel to JC White to continue their shared racing passion. Rick saw a potential in JC and knows that he will drive that car hard to the finish line.
His recent project was to restore a 1945 Ford F100 with his daughter Emmalee. Ricks wish was to have her drive the truck to her high school graduation this coming June. With the help of our village we will make sure his wish has been completed.
Rick also loved spending his free time hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling and spending time at the Whites family camp. Over the years Rick and John formed a friendship like no other. In his heart I know Rick saw John as a brother and will forever be with him.
There will be no services per Ricks request. There will be a celebration of life held at the American Legion in Gray on February 26th from 4:30 - 9:00. An event page will be created via facebook with details. Please direct any questions/donations to Tina White 207-240-9127
