Robert "Bob" Preston Foss

Robert “Bob” Preston Foss, 83, of Freeport, Maine passed away from heart complications on
the afternoon of August 4, 2024, at his home with family by his side. He was born on June 22,
1941, in Waterville, ME to Cyrus and Christine Foss.

He worked at Elm Oil & Ice in his younger years but most of his career was spent working in the
fishing industry on the docks of Commercial Street in Portland.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Judith Foss, his son William “Bill” Foss of Belfast,
ME, daughter Sherry Foss of Freeport, ME, daughter Theresa Brownstein & her husband Scott
of Locust Grove, GA, daughter Lisa Green & her husband Gregg of Chesterfield, VA,
granddaughters Rebecca Lopez and Hilary McClellan, grandsons Spencer Foss, Ethan Foss,
Jackson Green, Jacob Green, and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are Bob’s two
sisters, Elaine Christensen & her husband Carl and Fredonna Ausmus.

Bob will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved him. There will be a private (immediate
family only) end of life celebration on September 21, 2024.
