Thomas VanSeveren Obituary

Thomas Arthur VanSeveren made his way to heaven on October 8th, 2024 at the age of 78.  Tommy was born in Lowville, New York on January 23, 1946 to Arthur and Daryl (Leonard) Van Severen.

A proud veteran, Tommy served 20+ years in the United States Air Force. He, his wife and children traveled across the world during his time in the military. Some places including Portugal, Guam, Texas and Delaware before settling in Maine.

Tommy was an avid lover of the outdoors, and spent much of his life hunting and fishing. Tommy also enjoyed music, specifically bluegrass.

His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he had for his family.

Tommy was predeceased by his mother Daryl and father Arthur, along with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Bonnie (Terrilion) VanSeveren, son Craig Travis VanSeveren, daughter Nikkol Heather VanSeveren-Hawkes and her husband Peter Lorenzen, granddaughter Rozlin Marie Hawkes, grandson Gage William Hawkes and his sweetheart Ellie Perkins, great-grand daughter Fiona Perkins Hawkes, best friend Jim Davis and others who loved him dearly.

Tommy was very determined, and took the time to share his knowledge of the outdoors with his family and friends throughout his life. If you knew Tommy, you knew you were in the presence of a rare kind of man. He was loyal and kind, but didn’t lack in grit or strength. He embodied every characteristic of a true legend and he will be deeply missed by any and all that knew him.

There will be no services at the Departed's request.
