Timothy Bailey Obituary

Timothy P. Bailey 64, of Gray, passed peacefully away Friday September 11 th with the love of his
life by his side.
Tim was born December 23 rd 1955 to Bob and Maddie Bailey of Cumberland, Maine. He
attended Cumberland schools where he met his wife of 46 years Katheryn Powers Bailey. Tim and Kathy
made their home on Little Sebago Lake where they raised their two daughters. They enjoyed boating,
beaching and hosting many gatherings. The most notable gatherings were 4 th of July parties where Tim
would spend a couple days baking traditional bean hole beans and entertaining everyone with many
hours of fireworks.
He enjoyed all aspects of the great outdoors spending most weekends at his camp in northern
Maine hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and telling stories around the campfire. He loved to grill and cook
breakfast for his girls, fix cars, read historical biographies and watch classic movies.
Tim had an uncanny ability to fix anything, coupled with a generous spirit, he was a hero to
many, always helping friends, neighbors and family with any problem or project. Tim is survived by his
wife Kathy, daughters Jennifer Bailey of Gray and Jamie Cameron of Windham. Son in Law Thomas
Cameron, grandchildren Emily and Robert Kimball, and Reese Cameron. Brother Bob Bailey and wife Joy
of Manchester, Georgia. His only and favorite sister Patricia Haskell and husband Walt of Laconia, New
Hampshire. Brother Bruce and wife Adena of Cumberland, Maine. Tim leaves behind many beloved
nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by both his parents, his younger brother Gary Bailey, sister in law Lori Bailey
and nephews Wes Bailey and Brian Haskell. There will be a private burial followed by a celebration of life
summer of 2021. Special thanks to Hospice of Southern Maine. Specifically Christina and Marie for their
care and guidance.
