Gray – Trent E. Burnell “Trently”
Trent E. Burnell “Trently,” passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2025, at the age of 53.
Born in Lewiston on October 5, 1971, Trent entered the world alongside his twin brother, Travis, the beloved sons of Bonnie Sudds Burnell and Burnelle Burnell. He grew up in Gray, attended GNG High School, and proudly graduated from The REAL School — an accomplishment he celebrated as being the youngest person to ever complete the curriculum.
A man of the sea, Trent was an avid diver, fisherman, and lobsterman, though he was equally known for the boat that sat dutifully in his yard. He had passionate spirit, always ready with a joke, a story, or a zany video to share. Bold and fearless, Trent blazed new paths in life and gave his whole heart to the things he believed in, whether it was making videos, scouting eagles from the blind he built or foraging for natures treasures.
Above all, Trent was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica; his son, Robert; his siblings, Shannan and Travis Burnell; his nephew, Gage. He’s pre-deceased by his mother
Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories and celebrate Trent’s life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4–8 p.m. at the American Legion in Gray.
