North Yarmouth-William H. Hitchcock, 72, died May 27, 2026.
Born in Gray the son of Hollis and Joan McCready Hitchcock and grew up in South Portland.
Mr. Hitchcock served in the Army as Cook in the Vietnam Era. He worked at Monson driving truck under the Teamsters Union for 30+years. With his wife Theresa, he loved vacationing in Florida, camping, motorcycling, hunting, NASCAR, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Theresa, his son Robert Dyer, and his parents.
He is survived by two daughters; Kerry and Rick Bowman of Sebago and their children Nick, Jesse, and Ritchie. Brandy Kimball and Virgil and their daughters; Jada, Taylor, and Kayla of Woodville, Sons; Mike Dyer and Tab and their children Hailey and Mason of Standish. JohI Hitchcock and Bobbi-Jo and their children Destini, Breanna, and Dennis of Springvale. Sisters; Nancie and Coley Spear of Windham, Holly Allen of Auburndale, Florida. Anne and Billy Nye of Windham Brothers; Woody and Linda Hitchcock of Auburndale, Florida, Steve and Rhonda Hitchcock of Windham. Many nieces and nephews.
William will be missed for so many things but especially for his stories and humor.
The family would like to invite everyone to meet after the service at William's home in North Yarmouth for refreshments.
Burial will be at a later date.
A memorial visitation will take place 2 to 4pm Sunday June 7 at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray, Maine.
